LEROY VAN DYKE, of "AUCTIONEER" and "WALK ON BY" fame, and star of the movie "WHAT AM I BID?", is known around the world as an entertainer, recording artist, radio and television star, actor, auctioneer and veteran of the Nevada circuit. He has recorded some 500 songs, and probably holds the record for most repeat-performance bookings of any working country music entertainer. He has worked 40 to 70 fairs and livestock events per year for four decades!

LEROY has participated in 4-H, FFA and sales of sales of champion livestock over a wider geographic area than any other auctioneer in history. He is, without a doubt, THE WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS AUCTIONEER.

LITTLE KNOWN FACTS:
LEROY VAN DYKE . . .

. . . grew up with a 3,000-acre farm/ranch operation in central Missouri, and is fully conversant with cattle, hog, sheep, horse and mule production, as well as hay and grain crops.

. . . attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a dual major: Agricultural Journalism and Animal Husbandry. He received a B.S. in Agriculture, then did one semester of graduate work. He was a member of both the junior and senior University of Missouri livestock judging teams.

. . . served in Korea as a Special Agent, United States Army Counter Intelligence Corps, then returned to civilian life as a Fieldman, Purebred Livestock Advertising Department, Chicago Drovers Journal.

. . . was catapulted into show business while working for the Drovers Journal when his self-penned "Auctioneer" recording went a million-plus just weeks after its release.
